The UT Dallas Esports Broadcasting & Production Team handles the esports program’s livestreaming, production, and casting for varsity matches, program events, gamenights, and more.

Student Broadcasting Lead

The UT Dallas Esports Broadcasting Team is run by our Student Broadcasting Lead, Avery “crow” Carter. Should you have specific questions regarding the Broadcasting Program and the application process, please contact her through our Official Discord Server.

Meet Avery Carter, "crow"

Avery is a student at the school of Natural Sciences and Mathematics as a Biology Major with a Criminology minor. She has plans to apply to medical schools after finishing her undergraduate degree here at UTD.

After casting for the UTD Overwatch teams her freshman year, Avery became the Broadcasting & Production Lead for UT Dallas Esports. When not playing video games or doing homework, she enjoys watching movies, haunting thrift stores, reading about serial killers, and going on hikes. Her goal for this program is to provide a positive community for Broadcasting students to hone their skills and make new connections. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about B&P, UTD Esports, or just want to chat!

Broadcasting FAQ

We’ve received a few questions and thought it would be beneficial to include a FAQ about the Broadcasting Team here! If you have any questions, feel free to let us know on the Discord: https://discord.gg/utdesports

Our casters team consists of casters for Overwatch, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. We do not generally do production for Rocket League given their tournament livestreaming restrictions. We are in the process of getting Valorant casters in the rotation as well.

Nope! We welcome casters of all experience and skill levels. We hope to be a place where you can learn, hone your skills, and have a good time.

Nope! We are always looking for people to help with the esports program’s stream production for the above listed games (OW, LOL, Smash). Feel free to reach out even if you just want to work behind the scenes!

As much or as little as you’d like! With that in mind, we try to give equal opportunities to our casters, as to prevent one person from dominating the mic. We have a very flexible schedule!
